South Lakes best practice guidance
There is a shared partnership responsibility between us, as the licensing authority, Cumbria Police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue and most importantly the Premises Licence Holder or Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) to supervise and enforce activities associated with premises licences.
Our partnership policy is to work for compliance and seek best working practices. We will only resort to legal action when this has failed, or due to circumstances, is likely to fail.
South Lakes best practice guidance (PDF 1.15MB / 37 pages) will help you to deliver responsible management of your premises in line with the licensing objectives. If you require further advice, contact any partner agencies outlined in the guidance document.
