South Lakeland comprises the whole of the Westmorland & Lonsdale Parliamentary constituency and part of the Barrow & Furness Parliamentary constituency.

There is now a fixed term for Parliament of five years so parliamentary general elections must now be held at the end of that five year term. As a result of the parliamentary general elections being held in December 2019, the next scheduled election will take place in 2024.

Tim Farron is the MP for the Westmorland & Lonsdale constituency.

Simon Fell is the MP for the Barrow & Furness constituency.
