Domestic homicide review
A Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) was undertaken by South Lakeland Community Safety Partnership following a death in South Lakeland in 2012.
The review followed legislation and criteria outlined in the Home Office guidance: Multi-Agency Statutory Guidance for the Conduct of Domestic Homicide.
A review panel was convened and an independent chair was appointed in January 2013. After several meetings and the collation of specified information and data from partners, an Overview Report and Action Plan were submitted to the Home Office Quality Assurance (HOQA) Panel in December 2013. The HOQA Panel met in February 2014 and have judged the report and action plan as adequate.
Amendments have been made to the report, as recommended by the HOQA Panel and the legislative requirement to publish the report can now be met.
The DHR documents available are:
- South Lakeland DHR Overview Report (PDF/216KB/26 pages) , which includes the Action Plan and the HOQA Panel letter, advising of their decision
- South Lakeland DHR Executive Summary Report (PDF/76KB/9 pages)
