There may be occasions when you require formal advice and assistance and where an advocate may be helpful to deal with issues such as; debt, welfare benefits advice or housing law.

The following organisations provide free advice and assistance:

Independent Age

Independent Age is a charitable organisation which provides telephone advice only to older people and their families.

This can include:

  • care and support
  • money and benefits
  • health and mobility
  • signpost to local agencies

Helpline is freephone: 0800 319 6789, Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, and Saturday, 9am to 1pm, (closed Sundays and bank holidays).
