Pye Lane, Grasmere, LA22 2AA
This small cemetery is on the northern edge of the village, just off the A591 Ambleside to Keswick road.
Visiting the cemetery
Very limited car parking space is available in the lane outside the cemetery and the only facilities are a waiting shelter and a stand pipe for water for flowers (from April to October).
Although it is a small cemetery, you should check grave locations with the Bereavement Services office before going.
A numbered grave plan is posted in the cemetery building window.
The grave of poet William Wordsworth (1770-1850) is in the nearby Churchyard of St. Oswald, in the centre of the village.
