Mouthpiece is a platform for 16 to 25 year olds to recognise, discuss and tackle issues in the community.
Meetings are held in schools and colleges across South Lakeland, all students are welcome. The groups determine the agenda based on their concerns, interests and the changes they would like to make.
Representatives from schools and colleges meet every six weeks in Kendal Town Hall to share discussions, research and ideas. The group will decide what they can do to create change by planning events, awareness campaigns, fund raisers or other creative initiatives.
Every three months Mouthpiece will meet at the town hall with local councillors and key contacts from local organisations. The group will present their concerns, the work that they have done, and the changes they want to make. Mouthpiece will be starting the conversations that young people want to have with the people that can make change happen.
Mouthpiece can be the voice of young people in South Lakeland, make sure you’re a part of it.
