District council elections 2018
Elections are to be held for all 51 District Council seats on Thursday 3 May 2018. The poll will take place on Thursday, 3 May 2018, between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
The nomination period has now closed. The candidates for each ward are listed in the Statement of Persons Nominated for the relevant ward.

Registering to vote and absent voting
The deadline to register in time to vote in the elections on 3 May has passed. If you have recently moved and are still registered at another address within the South Lakeland area, please contact the Electoral Services team as you may be able to vote from your old address.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote, change an existing postal vote or cancel a postal vote has passed.
Applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 25 April 2018.
Emergency proxy applications must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 3 May, which is polling day. Emergency proxy votes are only available if you are physically incapable of attending the polling station because of a medical emergency or disability, or for work/service/occupation reasons. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 25 April. To apply on the grounds of work/service/occupation, you must have become aware that you can't go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Wednesday, 25 April.
