Ambleside and Grasmere District by-election

Due to the resignation of Councillor Heidi Halliday, there will be a by-election to elect a District Councillor for the Ambleside and Grasmere ward. This will take place alongside the Cumbria County Council elections on Thursday 4 May.

Register to vote

It is now too late to register to vote in time for the elections on Thursday 4 May. You can still register to vote for future elections by visiting register to vote.

If you are unable to get to a polling station you still have time to apply for a proxy vote. New proxy vote applications must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2017.
