Parking spaces

Disabled spaces: 33 (Levels 3 and 5)
Motorcycle spaces: Can use any of the spaces with consideration, normal parking charges will apply
Bicycle spaces: Free 'Cycle Hub' with racking for up to 10 bikes, a bike repair stand, ten lockable lockers and two changing rooms. Get keys to lockers and changing rooms from the parking office on the ground floor.

Chargeable times

Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm, entrance closes 6pm.

Sunday and Bank Holidays 9.30am to 5.30pm, entrance closes 4pm.

The car park is locked at night.

'Early bird' tariff: £1 for all day parking if ticket purchased between 7am and 9am
Up to 1 hours: £1.70
1 to 2 hours: £2.80
2 to 3 hours: £3.60
3 to 4 hours: £4.30
4 to 5 hours: £5.50
5 to 10 hours: £6.60

Blue Badge: charges apply for Blue Badges, but an additional hours parking is given after the first hour.

To claim the discount, press the Help button at the ticket machine. A member of staff will deduct one hours parking and validate the ticket for payment. You can also go in person to the office by the exit barrier to arrange the deduction.

There are three DDA compliant pay stations on Levels 1, 3 and 5 at a lower level for wheelchair access.

Payment options

The Westmorland Shopping Centre car park is a pay on exit car park controlled by entry and exit barriers. Motorists pay the charges at the end of their stay.

Payment machines are on Level 1 (one machine), Level 3 (two machines) and Level 5 (one machine).

You can pay by cash using notes or the following coins: 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, 50 pence, £1 and £2. The old £1 coin will not be accepted.

You cannot use card at the payment machines however we do accept card payments at the office which is located next to the exit barrier on Level 1. Please make your way on foot to the office or park considerately to avoid blocking other vehicles leaving the car park at the barriers.

SLDC parking permits are valid in this car park however business permits cannot used.
