Pay on exit scheme
The Westmorland Shopping Centre is a pay on exit car park.
It is controlled by entry and exit barriers, and motorists pay the charges at the end of their stay.
Machines are on Level 1 (one machine), Level 3 (two machines) and Level 5 (one machine).

Early Bird tariff
Arrive between 7am and 9am Monday to Saturday to park all day for £2.20.

Parking for Blue Badge holders
Charges apply for all Blue Badge holders, but an additional hour's parking is given after the first hour.Parking for Blue Badge holders
To claim the discount, the badge holder should go to the parking office at the exit barrier with their Blue Badge and the officers will validate the ticket including the hour's reduction, to exit the car park.
Please note that there are three DDA compliant pay stations on Levels 1, 3 and 5 at a lower level for wheelchair access.
Please take a ticket at the entrance barrier and park your motorcycle. When ready to exit, go to a pay station and pay for your parking at the rate indicated. Take your validated ticket to the barriers at the Level 1 exit.
- There are a total of 31 disabled bays available on levels 3 and 5.
- The height restriction is 1.8 metres (6' 0") at level 2 entrance so please be aware of this if you are driving a large vehicle.
- Please observe the parking regulations and signs at all times so as not to incur a Penalty Charge Notice. Motorists should park within the bay markings.
- The car park is locked at night.
One Voice (formerly Kendal and South Lakes Shopmobility)
One Voice Kendal Shopmobility provides the loan of mobility aids and is based on level 3 of the Westmorland Centre Car Park, opposite the entrance to the shopping centre.
Shopmobility is not just for the disabled. If you have an injury, are pregnant, elderly or tire easily, in fact anything which makes it difficult for you to get around town, then you can benefit from the scheme.
