Pay for parking at the Westmorland Shopping Centre
The Westmorland Shopping Centre is a pay on exit car park. It is controlled by entry and exit barriers and motorists pay the charges at the end of their stay.
Machines are on Level 1 (one machine), Level 3 (two machines) and Level 5 (one machine).
Please note that the machines are coins and notes only. The old £1 coin will not be accepted.
Parking for Blue Badge holders
Charges apply for all Blue Badge holders, but an additional hour's parking is given after the first hour.
To claim the discount, the badge holder should press the Help button at the machine. A member of staff will deduct one hour's parking and validate the ticket for payment. The badge holder can also go in person to the office by the exit to arrange the deduction.
Please note that there are three DDA compliant pay stations on Levels 1, 3 and 5 at a lower level for wheelchair access.
Please take a ticket at the entrance barrier and park your motorcycle. When ready to exit, go to a pay station and pay for your parking at the rate indicated. Take your validated ticket to the barriers at the Level 1 exit.
One Voice (formerly Kendal and South Lakes Shopmobility)
One Voice Kendal Shopmobility scheme provides the loan of mobility aids and is based on level 3 of the Westmorland Centre Car Park, opposite the entrance to the shopping centre.
Shopmobility is not just for the disabled. If you have an injury, are pregnant, elderly or tire easily, in fact anything which makes it difficult for you to get around town, then you can benefit from the scheme.
