Time running out to have your say on lake services
21 August 2018
Time is running out for lake users to have their say on how services on Windermere could be improved.
The Lake Windermere Services User Survey 2018 is being carried out by ourselves and the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNP).
We own the lake-bed, provide public slipways and manage swinging moorings, while the LDNP is responsible for lake byelaws.
The aim of the survey, which is undertaken every four years, is to gather information on lake usage to inform decisions on future services and facilities.
All surveys must be completed by Friday 31 August 2018.
Councillor Dyan Jones, our Environment portfolio holder, said: “By taking part, lake users have the opportunity to rate and comment on services and facilities.
“We are encouraging people to take the survey online, however paper copies are available at the Ferry Nab office.”
Many lake users have already had their say, but we are encouraging those who have not completed the survey to make their views heard.
Cllr Dyan Jones added: “We’ve had a great response so far, but I’d urge lake users who haven’t had their say to visit our website to complete the survey.
“The information gathered will be used to improve both authorities’ understanding of the needs of lake users and ensure that services and facilities are in line with people’s expectations.”
The results of the survey will be shared on our website.
