Coronavirus (COVID-19) food and safety advice for community food share schemes
The guidance below outlines how to safely provide food provisions and deliver to vulnerable people in the community.
Community Centre (including places of worship) can be open for the provision of food banks or other support for the homeless or vulnerable people.
Volunteers are allowed to obtain food for vulnerable persons. You are allowed to travel for the purposes of providing voluntary and charitable services.
Hot and cold meals
You can provide hot or cold food for consumption off the premises. You must be registered as a Food Business. If you are not Registered (or want to check if you are) contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can call 01539 733 333 and ask to speak a member of the food safety team.

If collection involves queuing you must ensure distances of two metres are maintained between all people. You should provide signage and some form of marking to help people keep 2 metres from each other.
