Healthier Menus Awards
The aim of the Healthier Menus Award is to encourage food businesses and staff canteens to provide wholesome, healthy food choices on their menu.
To qualify for the award, food businesses must:
keep high standards of hygiene
provide healthier food choices on the menu every day
show that healthier techniques and ingredients are used
Businesses fill in a score sheet to show how their menu meets the criteria.
Applications can be made throughout the year.
Post score sheets to:
Public Protection Group
South Lakeland District Council
South Lakeland House
For further information and suggestions on how you can improve the health of customers look at the Healthier Menus Leaflet (PDF/1MB/4 pages).
Once the award has been presented it will be valid until the next food hygiene inspection.
Random checks will take place to make sure the menu continues to meet the criteria.
