Fly tipping is any waste that has been unlawfully left in a public area. It is a serious offence to fly tip and reports will be investigated.
 

How To Report Fly tipped waste

If you see fly tipping please report it to our Customer Contact Centre on 0845 050 4434, or to the Environment Agency on 0800 807060.

Please include the location of the fly tipping and type of land involved, it may be on farmland, a sports field or in a lay-by for example. Also tell us the type and amount of waste involved, and if you see a vehicle try to give us a description and the registration number.

 
We aim to investigate all reports of fly tipping within two working days.
 
It is possible that fly tipped waste may include hazardous or dangerous materials. Do not touch the waste, or open any bags or containers.
 

Disposing of Waste Within the Law

You must make sure that your waste is collected by a licensed waste carrier. Licensed waste carriers are registered with the Environment Agency. You can check if a company is listed by contacting the Environment Agency on 08708 506506, or online using their website.
