Permit options
Three types of permit can be purchased. Standard permits
must have one registration number on. With Transferable and
Business permits, you get one permit but the
Transferable permit can be used by two registered vehicles, and the
Business permit can be transferred between different vehicles.
Permit-holders can use the Westmorland Shopping Centre Car Park
for an additional £30 charge. This non-refundable annual
administrative fee includes a card to use the entry/exit
barriers.
When purchasing a Standard permit, you may be eligible for
a reduction of £50 (pro rata) if you have an "A" rated
vehicle. "A" rated means the CO2 emissions are 100 g/km, or
less. This is stated in your log book, the V5 document,
in section 4. Contact Parking Services if you
believe you are eligible.

What to do when you change your vehicle
Please
contact us to
let us know your new registration number. You need to return
the permit in order for us to change it to the new
registration. To cover you for a few days please put a note
on your dashboard showing the permit number which
begins with the prefix SCX.
Can I get a refund if I no longer require the permit?
Yes, you can. If you surrender the permit before the end
of a month, you will get the remaining months refunded pro
rata, by cheque. Please return the permit and indicate to
whom you want the cheque made payable, and supply your name
and current address. This process should take about about two
to three weeks.
How do I renew my permit?
All permits expire at the end of March. A renewal letter
will be sent out in early March with full instructions on how to
renew the permit. Please ensure you renew you permit before
the expiry date.
