Housing Benefit Information
Housing Benefit is a Social Security benefit
administered by the Council to help you pay your rent if you are on
a low income. It can be claimed by people who pay rent for
Council properties or people who pay rent to Housing Associations
or private landlords.

If your income is low you may qualify for help with your Rent
and Council Tax.
We now have an online benefits calculator which you can use to
provide an estimate of how much Housing Benefit and Council Tax
Benefit you may be able to get. You can also use it to check to see
what will happen if your circumstances change.
If you are already claiming, you must still write to us about
the change straight away.

Can I claim Housing Benefit?
