Large Household Waste Items That Can and Cannot Be Collected.

From the Kitchen and Dining Room

Items That Can Be Collected Classed As
A set of up to eight matching dining chairs Up to eight matching chairs count as one item
Dining table or kitchen table. One item
Cooker or hob. Cookers must be free-standing, or separated from the kitchen units. Cookers or hobs must be detached from the mains gas or electric. One item
Microwave oven One item
Dishwasher One item
Washing machine. Washing machines must be disconnected from the plumbing system. One item
Tumble drier One item
Fridge, fridge freezer or freezer. Please ensure fridges and freezers are empty anxd defrosted. One item

Items that cannot be collected include fitted kitchen units.

From the Lounge

Items That Can Be Collected Classed As
Television set One item
Television unit One item
Display unit or cabinet One item
Dresser or sideboard One item
Rocking or easy chair One item
Three-piece suite. Items must be matching. One item. If items do not match each piece is classed as one item.
Bookcase One item
Shelving unit One item
Standard lamp One item

Items that cannot be collected include gas fires and fish tanks.

From the Bedroom

Items That Can Be Collected Classed As
Bed and headboard One item
Mattress One item
Chest of drawers One item
Mirror. Mirrors must be in one piece. One item
Sofa bed or futon One item
Wardrobe One item
Bedside lamp One item
Cot One item

Items that cannot be collected include fitted bedroom units.

From the Study or Home Office

Items That Can Be Collected Classed As
Laptop computer or PC. One item. This includes one printer if requested.
Desk One item
Chair One item
Bookcase or filing cabinet One item

 

Other Items

Items That Can Be Collected Classed As
Carpet. Carpets must be folded, rolled or cut into manageable pieces, dry and indoors. One item
Bicycle One item
Pram One item

Other items that cannot be collected include laminate flooring, garden sheds, greenhouses, tyres, builders waste, window frames, fitted bathroom suites, hazardous waste such as asbestos or paint tins, fluorescent light tubes, mobility aids, domestic waste, garden waste,  gas bottles, oil drums, concrete posts, glass, car or motorcycle parts and bric-a-brac.
