Waste and 
Recycling
We provide a range of waste and recycling services to households
around South Lakeland, including collections from the kerbside and
at recycling banks.
The service provided to households is provided as one of the
standard services provided by the Council. However businesses are
able to use any licensed waste contractor, paying for the service
used.

Each household is provided with a collection calendar. These
are available to download or telephone 0845 050 4434.
We work with right2work to provide a collection
service for larger items of waste such as tables, chairs and
beds.
We do not provide a service to collect or recycle trade waste.
These services are available from private operators that
provide collections.
