Sports Pitches and Recreation Grounds

We maintain twelve sports fields in the district, each of which
have football pitches, including the following locations:
- Rothay Park, Ambleside, LA22 9DG
- Yew Tree playing field, Grange-over-Sands, LA11 7AA
- Dean Gibson playing field, Kendal, LA9 5HB
- Jubilee Fields, Kendal, LA9 6DE
- Wattsfield playing field, Kendal, LA9 5QZ
- Croftlands recreation ground, Ulverston, LA12 9LD
- Queens Park pitch, Windermere, LA23 2AW
- Rayrigg Meadow pitch, Windermere, LA23 1EY
We also maintain recreation grounds at the following locations
which are open to the public from either Easter or April 1st,
whichever is earlier, until the end of September.
The Glebe, Bowness-on-Windermere: Putting
green, crazy golf, tennis courts
Abbot Hall, Kendal: Bowling green
Gooseholme, Kendal: 18 hole putting green
There are also facilities operated by the Lakes Parish Council
at White Platts, Ambleside: 9 Hole mini-golf
course, putting green, Tennis courts, crazy golf, bowling green,
infant play area, 18 hole mini-golf course (longest hole 90
metres).
Grange Town Council also provide facilites at Grange
Promenade: Bowling green, outdoor basketball
court
