Grant Schemes for Historic Buildings
We have operated grant schemes to assist with the repair of
older properties and to encourage the use of traditional methods
and materials such as sliding sash windows, lime-based render and
the restoration of Victorian shop fronts.
- Kendal Conservation Area Grant Scheme - offers grant aid to
promote the repair of older properties in the Conservation
Area
- Environmental Improvement and Shop Fronts Grant helps owners
improve historic areas and spaces in Conservation Areas, and also
helps specifically with the repair of traditional shop fronts
