Tea Bags
Tea bags can be used in your garden compost heap.
Telephone Directories
Telephone directories are collected in your paper
recycling box or at your local
paper bank.
Tetrapak Cartons
These are the cartons that milk and fruit juices are often
packed in. There are currently no facilities to recycle Tetrapak
cartons in South Lakeland. Please squash your cartons to
minimise the space they take in your waste bin.
Textiles
Most charity shops accept good quality textiles, such as
curtains and clothing, for re-sale.
Tin Foil
Toner Cartridges
There are commercial companies operating schemes to recycle or
refill toner cartridges for printers, photocopiers and fax
machines. There are also some schemes run by some charities to
collect toner charities for recycling.
Toys and Games
Toys and games suitable for re-sale can be taken to some of
the charity shops in the area. Please ensure that toys and games
have 'CE' labels. If you have any doubt please ask at your local
charity shop.
