Fluorescent Lamps

When disposing of a fluorescent tube you should take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Fly Tipping

Fly tipping is illegal. Please report all instances of fly tipping to our Customer Contact Centre on 0845 050 4434, or the Environment Agency, telephone 0870 850 6506.

Foil

Clean aluminium foil can be recycled in your can recycling box and at can banks in South Lakeland

Food Waste

It is possible to use some food waste, such as vegetable peelings, tea bags and coffee grounds on your home compost heap.

Foreign Currency

Some charity shops accept foreign currency as part of their fund-raising activities.

Fridges and Freezers

When buying a new fridge or freezer ask if the store operates a collection service for your old model. They can also be taken to Household Waste Recycling Centres where they can be disposed of free of charge.
