Cumbria County Boundary Review
Further Electoral Review
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE)
commenced the Electoral Review of Cumbria in 2010.
This Review looked at the electoral divisions
in Cumbria and tried to find electoral equality, i.e. each county
councillor looking after approximately the same number of
electors.
The final recommendations on the new electoral
arrangements have been published and the Order confirming
the changes was made on 17 December. These new arrangements
will take effect at the next County Council elections on 2 May
2013.
