Easter Opening Arrangements
We have provided some useful information related to council
services over Easter.
The council offices in Kendal, Ulverston and
Windermere will be closed on Friday 29 March and
Monday 1 April reopening as normal on Tuesday 2
April.
Emergency Telephone Numbers
In the case of an emergency there are special
telephone numbers that can be called.
These should be used for help in the case of severe weather,
if there are dangerous structures or if you are suddenly made
homeless.

Domestic Refuse Collections
Domestic refuse collections will continue
throughout the Easter period but the day of collection will vary to
make adjustments for the public holidays.
The
Lake Windermere
Warden service will available every day over Easter
between 9.00am and 5.00pm. .However, in an emergency call 999 and
ask for the coastguard who will alert the duty staff. In the case
of a non-emergency please call 015394 42753 and leave a message on
the answering machine.
South Lakes Housing
For enquiries about council houses and
repairs
South Lakes Housing will be closed on
Friday 29 March and Monday 1 April and
reopen as normal on Tuesday 2 April.
The repairs hotline is 0845 057 0080 and is open
throughout the Easter period 24 hours a day.
