Imported Food Imports

Controls on the import of food are in place to protect us all from foodborne infections and to prevent the spread of disease to our livestock. If you intend to travel abroad and bring back food for your own consumption, check out 'defra's' guidance first at food.gov website and click on 'Personal Imports'.

The Food Standards Agency has a duty to inform the Food and Safety Group of any Food Alerts
