Kendal Canal Head Development Plan Document

South Lakeland District Council is preparing a Kendal Canal Head Local Plan.  It will provide a regeneration framework for modern employment, housing, leisure and supporting commercial development, better links with the town centre and, in the longer term, enabling the restoration of the Lancaster Canal. The Plan will ensure a strategic approach, avoid piecemeal development, build developer confidence and provide a focus for community engagement.   

The Local Development Scheme will set out the timetable for preparing this document.
