Making an Application
There are two methods of giving the required notice that you are
going to carry out building work.
The first is by the deposit of detailed plans and
specification of the work; this is known as FULL
PLANS (normally drawn up by architect/drawing
technician). The plans are checked in detail and,
if satisfactory, an approval notice is issued.
The second method (purely for domestic works) is called a
BUILDING NOTICE and simply involves the giving of
details on the appropriate form and supplying a site plan.
Fees are charged for both
types of application.
All Charges are subject to 20%
VAT at the appropriate rate from the 4th January
2011.
