Structural Survey

When is a Structural Survey required?

A structural survey is required in support of a proposal if it involves substantial demolition of a
building or the conversion of a traditional rural building, for example a barn.

Further Guidance

Guidance should be sought from a Planning Officer if you are unsure whether a structural survey is
required. Any structural survey required should be compiled by a suitable qualified surveyor.
