South Lakeland District Council Cabinet Reshuffle

South Lakeland Council Leader Brendan Jameson has today announced three changes to his Cabinet.

Cllr Graham Vincent takes over Policy, Performance & Resources portfolio holder from previous holder Cllr David Evans whilst Cllr Ian Stewart, former Central Services portfolio holder, takes on Economic Prosperity & Transport portfolio from Cllr Vincent.

Cllr David Evans declined the Central Services portfolio which will be covered by the remaining Cabinet Members in the short term. Cllr Evans will no longer be a Cabinet Member.

Cllr Jameson said: “In order to strengthen the Cabinet to deal with the exciting challenges the council faces I have decided to make these changes. I believe moving Cllr Vincent and Cllr Stewart into their new roles will bring a wealth of experience to these vital functions.

“I want to thank Cllr’s Vincent, Stewart and Evans for all of their hard work on their previous portfolios.”

The changes to Cabinet take place with immediate effect.
