Refuse Collection
South Lakeland District Council is responsible for the
collection of waste from people's homes. The waste collection
service collects all household waste, including green waste from
gardens and there is no charge. Moving house gives people an
opportunity to have a Spring-clean and the Council can arrange to
collect bulky household waste such as three-piece suites, carpets
and beds from domestic properties.
This is a free service but it must be pre-booked as a 'special
collection'.
For any queries regarding the refuse collection service or to
arrange a special collection of bulky household items.
