Caring about Carers
Benefits
At this stage in your life you may well need financial
help, and there are benefits available.
Carers Allowance is for people aged between
16 and 65, who spend 35 hours a week or more caring for
someone who is severely disabled.
Also of use, is
Home Responsiblities Protection. (HRP) helps protect your
basic Retirement Pension, if you are unable to work or you are on a
low wage and you have caring responsibilities at home, you may well
qualify.
