Grange-over-Sands
This attractive town is an excellent example of a prosperous
Edwardian seaside resort. Grange-over-Sands is the perfect
place to relax and unwind. Here you can enjoy a
leisurely stroll along the fine
promenade, taking in panoramic views across Morecambe Bay
or take a walk in the Ornamental Gardens and indulge in
afternoon tea in one of the many cafés.
The area is a haven for
birdwatchers, painters and photographers and personal
service makes the speciality shopping in Grange a real
pleasure. There are also a number of
events happening in Grange each year, including the
Edwardian Festival in June and Prom Art, an Arts and Crafts Show
along the promenade on the last Sunday of each month from April -
Spetember.
For the more adventurous, there is a programme of Cross Bay
Walks each summer with the Queen's Official Guide to the Sands,
Cedric Robinson. Never attempt to cross the sands
alone.
