Dent
The charming village of Dent is set
in the beautiful and secluded valley of Dentdale, within the
Yorkshire Dales National Park. It retains a feel of the past with
its hilly, cobbled main street and colour-washed
cottages.
Dent is a place to relax
and enjoy homemade afternoon tea, or for something a bit stronger
try a pint of Dent Bitter, brewed locally or one of the other fine
ales at the local pubs. The village dates back to Norman
times and retains a feel of walking into the past.
Dent station, a little way up the
valley, is the highest mainline station in England and is on the
spectacular Settle to Carlisle railway line.
