Cartmel
Cartmel is one of South Lakeland's oldest villages. Cartmel
was built around the beautiful 12th century Priory Church.
Cartmel offers quiet flower-filled corners, charming craft shops
and a selection of restaurants, pubs and cafés. The Village
Shop has a prime position in the market square and is famous for
its Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Cartmel is also home to one of the most picturesque small
racecourses in the country. There are three race
