Kendal Museum
Kendal Museum is managed by Kendal College on behalf of South
Lakeland District Council. Kendal Museum was founded in 1796
and is one of the oldest museums in the
country.
Famous for its polar bear and charts the social and natural
history of the area from prehistoric times to the present
day.
The Museum has lots of exhibitions and lectures running
throughout the year as well as guided tours and children's
events. Interesting activities and hands-on displays make
this a fascinating visit for all the family.
