proposed development plan for Burton-in Kendal

I am writing in connection with the above subject and wish to draw to your attention the fact that I feel strongly that the proposed planned development for Burton would be impractical for the following reasons:-

1.The infrastructure in Burton currently is hardly adequate without added pressure that additional housing and an employment development site would bring.

2.I feel that the sewage and surface water drainage system would become overloaded quite easily.

3.There would be a great strain on the social infrastructure i.e.health and safety, public transport, the school and the village shop. The school and the shop would cause additional parking hazards in the main street.

4.Any further encroachment into the green field sites would detract from the feeling of a village community and create a senseof urbanisation.
