Having read the LDF document I would like to offer my comments regarding the proposal for using the land off Springfield Lane/Grange Fell Road as mixed development.
I believe the following are areas for concern
Poor Access

Likelihood of flooding, poor drainage

Over burden to sewage and drainage

Increased traffic to an already busy road

Loss of a spectacular 'Green' area,

Affect upon the environment and habitat.(deer and other native animals regularly feed in the fields)

(On a personal note, we live in one of the houses which would front the proposed development, and are aware this would devalue our home, besides changing the outlook and be totally out of keeping with such a beautiful area on the outskirts of the town)

I am sure there are many other areas which could be developed first with less affects to the surrounding community.
