Light industrial units at the top end of Storth would alter the essential village nature of the village. the road infrastructure is totally inappropriate especailly as there are suitable areas elsewhere in Storth

Storth village petition against the proposed development of ligt industry off Cockshott Lane near Four Lane ends.
Goverment policy statements : PPS1 Jan 2005 : Delivering sustainable Development.
Planning authorities should plan positively ......design which is inappropriate in its context or fails to take the oppotunities availiable for improving the character and quality of an area and the way it functions should not be accepted. (para 34)
We the undersigned oppose the proposed development to SOUTH EAST STORTH (LDF : core strategy : document 4.89-4.90)
This is an area of otstanding natural beauty and we believe that such a development would :
1. Introduce commercial traffic flow along the narrow road of a quiet village containing a primary school.
2. Create noise pollution to the detriment of both residence and local wildlife.
3. alter the essential essence of the village.
4. Disrupt the ecology of the area.
5. Ignore the policy of good access to public transport as there is no such access with a footpath.
6. Adversely affect local farming use at a time when self-sufficiency is a well documented national target.
7. Increase traffic on two single lane access routes, Scockshott Lane and Keasdale Road, creating unecessary difficultied and possible dangers. These are popular quiet lanes without footpaths in daily use by local and visiting pedestrians.
