Having now lived in Natland for a number of years I am more than a little surprised that consideration is even being given to the building of quite a number of houses between Longmeadow Lane and the railway.
It would seem that such a suggestion would not only cause a number of extremely serious environment problems, but could also even endanger lives!
The dangers include:

· A sewage system which simply could not cope with the additional load.
· The series of narrow roads through the village would become a dangerous nightmare for everyone. It really would be horrendous.
· It is difficult to see how the local school would cope with the additional pupils.
In short it seems a classic example of a case where planning permission would not be given. Please would you confirm that this is so?
