Preston Patrick Parish Council has long opposed the development of sites in the vicinity of Junction 36 of the M6 for business purposes. It is therefore pleased to note that such sites have been rejected (pages 82-86) in favour of a site nearer to Kendal (Shenstone).

Preston Patrick Parish Council supports in principle the small scale expansion of Gatebeck industrial estate.
