Freedom of Information and Procurement
In accordance with the obligations and duties placed upon public
authorities by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 we may at times
be required to disclose information submitted by Tenderers in
response to a procurement exercise.
Where a tenderer considers any information submitted to be
commercially sensitive they should:
a) Clearly identify such information as commercially
sensitive;
b) Explain the potential implications of disclosure of such
information; and
c) Provide an estimate of the period of time during which the
Tenderer believes that such information will remain commercially
sensitive.
Where a Tenderer identifies information as commercially
sensitive the Council will endeavour to maintain confidentiality.
However, Tenderers should note that even where information is
identified as commercially sensitive, the Council may be required
to disclose such information in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act.
