Application for review of Premises Licence

Where a premises licence has effect, an interested party (e.g. local resident) or a responsible authority (e.g. Police, Fire Authority, Environmental Health Department etc.) may apply to the licensing authority for a review of the licence.

However, the application for a review must relate to one or more of the statutory licensing objectives:-

  • Prevention of Crime and Disorder
  • Prevention of Public Nuisance
  • Public Safety
  • Protection of Children from Harm

Following receipt of an application for a review of a premises licence, the licensing authority has a duty to display a notice outlining the grounds for the review on the premises concerned.  A copy of such notice must also be made available on the Council's website.  You can view all notices of application for review of premises licences.
